I have been running Enfield Osteopathic Clinic since 1997 and have decided to start writing a blog to keep in touch with my loyal patients – and hopefully meet some new faces – as well as to provide a valuable source of information and advice.
Osteopathy Helps Many Conditions
In the 20 years that I have been in full-time osteopathic practice, I have met thousands of patients who have come to see me with a wide variety of musculo-skeletal disorders. My aim now, as it was when I set up the practice, is to help people by writing about my experiences.
Osteopathy helps with so many conditions, not just neck and back muscles and joint pain. I’ve seen patients with all sorts of musculo-skeletal complaints over the years – from arthritic pain and stiffness to sports injuries, whiplash and circulatory problems. As a professional osteopath every day is different because people arrive with so many different complaints. As you can imagine, I’ve learnt an awful lot and I’d like to share some of that with you through my blog.
Osteopathy Tips & Advice
I will be talking about different issues that many of us will experience at some point in our lives – I have patients from 8 to 80 years old – and offering lots of tips on how to stay well and look after your muscles and joints. I find that most of my patients are interested in how the body works and how they can try to avoid problems or, once they’ve had a session with me, what treatments they may be able to use at home.
Sometimes a small piece of knowledge can make a big difference. For instance, knowing how to sit correctly when you’re working at a desk can reduce muscle pain in your back and neck or knowing which is the best pillow to buy to support your neck – I’ll be talking about these things and many more.
You can subscribe to receive the blog regularly by clicking on the RSS button (on the right) and please share my posts with friends, colleagues, family and anyone else who may enjoy them and find them useful. Please also feel free to leave a comment about your experiences or to ask any questions.
Thanks for coming to see the new Enfield Osteopathic Clinic blog, I’ll see you again soon.
